The Federal Government is
aggressively pursing business process and systems improvements to
enhance their service to customers and to lower their costs. Central
Contractor Registration (CCR) provides worldwide visibility of
sources to government buyers and finance officers for the purpose of
streamlining contract awards and payments. This means effective
January 1, 2001, contractors receiving payments under DOT
or DHS contracts, purchase orders, delivery orders, or other
contractual vehicles should be registered in the CCR. Current and
prospective contractors are encouraged to register in the CCR without
delay. Benefits
of CCR:
-
Will make it easier to be paid
-
One time registration
-
Greater access to all federal
procurement agencies
-
More visibility of worldwide
sources
-
Allows contractors the
opportunity to increase sales opportunities
